Skye Collective started with a dog named Skye.
I brought her home when she was eight months old. I'd rescued her from a man who'd been cruel to her, and she was terrified — of everyone, of everything. She flinched at sudden moves. She didn't trust that anyone could be safe.
So I was patient. I gave her space, I showed up every single day, and I let her come to me on her own time. It took about two months. And then one day something shifted — she looked at me like she finally understood that I loved her, and that I wasn't going anywhere. From that moment on, she's been by my side.
She turned out to be the best dog I've ever known.
Skye is thirteen now. Anyone who's loved a dog knows our time with them is never long enough — and that's exactly why I started this shop. Skye is my kid. Skye Collective is my way of celebrating that kind of bond, keeping her name alive, and honoring the dogs who become family.
